Still at 84 lbs.  I can't get too excited about this latest plateau since I'm heading off on holiday on Tuesday :-)

We drove over to Towton to see the battlefield today.  The Battle of Towton was the longest and bloodiest battle fought on British soil.  It was fought on Palm Sunday--in a blizzard--in 1461.  Here are some of  pictures:

Another cool door.

Sheep outside St Mary's Church, Lead, North Yorkshire.

St Mary's Chuurch, Lead, North Yorkshire.  The church is about 1 mile west of the Towton battlefield and was there in 1461; it's not mentioned in the battle accounts but it seems unlikely that it wasn't used.

Interesting triple pulpit from St Mary's Church.

The pews date from the Medieval period!

Cool sign.

View of the battlefield.

It was a beautiful day to have a look at this battlefield, only about 45 minutes from home.
