Note to Self: Never do a grave after a day spent cooking at Bettys Cookery School! I was exhausted--but the cookery school bit was fun. The grave afterwards not so much... The forecasted snow never materialized (thank goodness for small favors!), so the class was on. I made a bowl of porridge before I left home and headed out. We made Steak and Ale Pie, Mediterranean Tart and Chocolate Cardamom Tarts. Bettys was up to their usual standards so we had croissants, shortbread cookies, a broccoli and leek quiche for lunch with a panzanella salad and a berry pavlova.
I was so tired at work all I ate was a pot of yogurt, a handful of nuts and a bite of the chocolate tart. Probably not the best plan but I was so tired I couldn't think straight!
